He has more than 14 years of experience in life science solutions across payer markets, including the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), commercial plans, employer groups, and health systems. His direct work with payers, providers, and pharmaceutical companies has provided him with an intricate depth of knowledge that spans the full access continuum. He partners with his clients to enhance product positioning through payer strategy, targeted value communications, competitive differentiation, and provider and patient pull through tactics.
Phillip’s clinical and strategic expertise includes rare disease, oncology, immunology, neurology, infectious disease, and metabolic conditions, for both small and large molecule treatments. Specializing in market analysis and impactful payer value messaging, he ensures that critical therapies are accessible for the right patient at the right time. He is also heavily involved in leveraging real-world insights, evidence generation, and HEOR messaging to inform market access and influence key decision-makers through data-driven solutions.
Phillip has consulted for a wide range of payers and small to large pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations. He has served as a thought leader for national symposiums and subject matter expert panels to guide life science leaders through the dynamic access and reimbursement landscape. Prior to joining Magnolia, Phillip worked as a specialty disease clinician, a payer account manager, and a market access strategist for multiple Forbes 250 companies.
Phillip holds a Doctorate in Pharmacy from Loma Linda University and a Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University in Utah.
